Entrepreneurship or “Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees”

“Dad, I want to make money. Can I see if one of the neighbors will pay me to shovel their driveway?”

“No. You can’t even do a good job on your own driveway. No one will pay you for that.”

(confused) “Why not?”

“Well, if you walk into a hair salon and the stylist has a super ugly haircut, would you let her cut your hair?”

“No way!”

“Well, then why do you think no one will hire you to shovel?”

(seriously confused) “Because I have a super ugly haircut?”

She struggles.
